In Chambéry (Savoie), a man was sentenced Monday to five years in prison including four firm for “sexual attack on a domestic animal” as well as “theft and ill-treatment”. He was found guilty of having kidnapped on September 15, the last in front of the ice rink of the Savoyard city, a Samoyed dog named Flicka, of having held him captive and of having raped him, reports The Dauphine Libere.
The 12-year-old animal was found five days after its abduction in the windowless cellar of a dwelling squatted by the defendant, with only a piece of bread. The police had received a report corresponding to the profile of the suspect.
Many signs of abuse
During his transfer to the police station, the man in his forties, already convicted of disfiguring a dog, had this chilling sentence: “Dogs are demons who rape women and children before bite, they must suffer the same fate!”.
A veterinary examination carried out later on the animal attested that Flicka presented, in addition to numerous signs of abuse, an inflammation of the vulva and vaginal edema, “allowing to suspect, without being able to attest, that there was penetration “, reports The Dauphine.
During his judgment on Monday, he denied the charges against him. “I am not the one who performed these sexual acts on this dog. Is it wrong with your head? It’s not possible. And I’m not a psychopath for abusing dogs and beating them up,” a- he pressed.
A “psychopathic personality”
Moreover, and contrary to what he had declared to the police during his arrest, he indicated that he was not behind Flicka’s kidnapping. He accused before the judges a man with whom he would share the accommodation he illegally occupies.
The convict, who had already accumulated 20 years of detention and 24 convictions, mostly for violence, was described as having a “psychopathic personality” by an expert. He was also convicted for the second time of owning a pet.
The man was deemed “more suited to prison than to the specialist hospital”, where he would have in the past frightened patients and medical staff. The judges nevertheless forced him to submit to treatment for two years.
For their part, Flicka’s masters indicated that the dog “is doing well, fortunately, and her psychological state has returned to normal”.
