However, just two days after her death, it came to light that the protagonist of Beverly Hills 90210 had signed an agreement that would return her to her days as one of the witches of the famous serie Charmed.

It was a podcast called The House of Halliwell that she will host alongside co-stars Holly Marie Combs, Drew Fuller and Brian Krause, the outlet reported. HELLO! magazine.

However, the publication does not detail whether the production of this special was carried out prior to Doherty’s death or if the actress did not have the opportunity to record it due to her vulnerable condition.

Departure of the series

After his departure from Beverly Hills 90210, Doherty returned to the small screen with the leading role in the series Charmed, which told the story of the witch sisters Prue Halliwell (Doherty), Piper Halliwell (Combs) and Phoebe Halliwell (Alyssa Milano).

The show premiered in 1998, but Shannen left the series in the third season when her character died and Rose McGowan joined as Paige. It was then revealed that she had decided to leave the series.

However, for years there were rumors that the actress did not have a good relationship with Milano, and it was she who pressured the production to remove Doherty from the show.

In 2023, Holly Marie Combs revealed that Doherty was indeed fired because Milano threatened to sue the production for keeping her in a hostile work environment. Although Alyssa came to her defense and denied that it was true, McGowan corroborated Combs’ version.

“We just tell the truth because the truth matters. At this point in my life, with my diagnosis, fighting a terrifying disease every day of my life, it’s incredibly important to me that the truth be told. We tell it together. We tell our truth and we stand by it. I remember the events as if I’m still living in them. What I will say is, what someone might call drama is a real trauma for me that I’ve lived with for a very long time. It was only going through my battle with cancer that made me decide to address this trauma and open up and be honest about it. That’s how I was able to recover from a job that was taken away from me because someone wanted to be number one. That’s the truth,” Doherty said.

After the actress’s representative confirmed her death, Milano sent her condolences to her family and friends.

“It’s no secret that Shannen and I had a complicated relationship, but deep down she was someone I deeply respected and admired. She was a talented actress, beloved by many, and the world is a worse place without her. My condolences to all who loved her,” he wrote in a post on social media.
