MIAMI.- The singer Spanish Nia debuts on the music scene with her disco Lignum vitaea personal project with which he sought to overthrow the paradigms of the large production companies to break into the industry with the essence that characterizes it and the Latin rhythms that have always made his heart beat.

And when her grandmother saw talent in her, she enrolled her in music and singing classes in the Official Choir of the Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra.
Road to fame
In principle, dedicating himself to this art was not a safe bet, so he decided to study a Higher Cycle of Physical and Sports Activities; However, an audition for the musical The Lion King It caught his attention and that was the first step to begin his journey towards his dreams.
The experience became his school, as he recognized in an interview with the magazine Cosmopolitan That was where I learned the demand of working with the voice and the discipline that is required to be part of this industry.
After three years being part of the musical, Nia was encouraged to go for more: she was the winner of the reality show Operation Triumph in 2020 and later also competed in the program Your face is familiar to me.
At 30 years old, Nia takes a step forward with her album Lignum vitaea salsa album that she asserts defines her and with which she aspires to make further progress in the industry.
Nia confessed in an interview with DIARIO LAS AMRICAS that she had an important support network that made it possible for that dream to come true.
The only thing I want is for you to listen to the album and give it a chance. Lignum vitae that is made with a lot of love, with a lot of affection. I have a team by my side that has helped me a lot to bring this album forward: producers, musicians, colleagues who have helped me compose and who have put a lot into it. Tribute to Celia Cruz
Although Celia Cruz has been a fundamental piece in her musical training and connection with the genre, Nia never thought about the possibility of having a performance with Guarachera de Cuba until a producer planted the idea in her head and heart.
It was all pure chance. I have listened to Celia a lot since I can remember; I think that the music I make has a lot of influence from what she was. And, suddenly, one day I was with a producer who worked with her for a while and he told me that listening to my project, Lignum vitaeI thought a song with Celia could fit, he recalled.
The performer was unaware that the producer owned the phonographic rights to the piece Black Tearsa famous Cuban bolero composed in 1929 by Miguel Matamoros and recorded years later by Celia Cruz.
He told me: let’s go to the studio, let’s see how it goes, because it’s impossible for me to change the tone of the voice that’s already recorded. I went to the studio, started singing and everything went wonderfully well.
The experience has been a professional and personal dream that has fulfilled.
Having in my career and on my first album a song with Celia Cruz, who is the greatest female exponent of salsa, was a gift for me.
Although the performance was challenging, Nia says she focused on doing her best to make the recording sound genuine.
I was in the studio and it was a party between the two of us. I think it’s the only way to be able to make an organic song when the other person is not there. For me it was as if I had had her next to her singing, I was only thinking about having a good time and feeling like I was with her. Then when he heard me and Celia, there were big words.
Celia Cruz has transcended Nia’s life and profession in a special way, which is why she considers that having managed to have a topic with her does not seem like a coincidence, but rather something that destiny already had written for her.
I have had her very much in mind since I started singing. I was on a television show where I sang two Celia songs, then on another imitation show and I played Celia. I composed my first album and in the song that gives it its name, Lignum vitaeI make a reference to Celia, a tribute was made at the opening of the Platino Awards in Madrid and she sang Life is a partyand suddenly this So many things have happened to me that I think it is no coincidence that I have a song with Celia.

At the moment, Nia is focused on enjoying the fruits of this song that is part of the album Lignum vitae; but she does not rule out the possibility of doing a project in the future that pays tribute to the leaders who have formed her in salsa.
