A boil advisory for drinking tap water in Philadelphia was issued Monday due to the possibility of contaminants in the precious liquid.

The Water Department said about 18,000 attorneys in the following neighborhoods and ZIP codes west of the city are affected:

  • Wynnefield Heights
  • wynnefield
  • Overbrook Farms
  • Green Hill Farms
  • overbrook
  • Overbrook Park
  • Morris Park
  • Parts of Carrol Park, Haddington, West Parkside and West Fairmount Park
  • Zip codes: 19151 and parts of 19131 and 19139

The recommendations are as follows:

  • Boil the water for at least one minute and allow it to cool before consuming it.
  • They should not drink tap water until further notice.
