Significant advances in smartphones have given rise to a new risk: the possibility that they are used to spy on users without their knowledge. The first clue is to identify performance issues. Spyware collects data by operating in the background and consuming battery resources. Worry if, from one day to the next, you notice that autonomy is not the same as always. It is best to check the applications that are using the battery:

- press battery usage.
- A list of apps with a percentage of battery usage will appear.
- Check for strange or unknown apps. If you see something you can’t recognize, do a Google search and see if it might be a spying or tracking app.
Irregular data usage

- Open your phone’s settings app.
- Select Network and Internet.
- Under SIM, select the SIM of your choice.
- Go to Application data usage.
- You can see more information and even check how much data each app uses.
- Check the list of apps and see which ones use the most internet. Look for any discrepancies. It would be normal to see YouTube using a lot of data, but a “Notes” app shouldn’t use that much.
More spyware clues and the solution
