Bethesda has started the year well by participating alongside other Xbox Game Studios in the first Xbox Developer Direct of 2023. The development company has confirmed the release date of Redfall and promised good news for Starfield during a further event, without however specifying a date for broadcasting.

Since Starfield is officially expected on shelves and in the Game Pass catalog by June 2023, the many expected to know more closely. However, twenty days have already passed since the Xbox Developer Direct and the impression is that the wait is still far from being able to be defined as finished. Yesterday, the Community Manager known as VaultOfDaedalus chimed in on the official Bethesda Discord channel to let it be known that the studio is still organizing the showcase and that I haven’t established anything yet.

“We’ll have more info to share about the showcase when it’s ready, we’re still sorting out some things”said the Community Manager in response to a curious fan. “I know that’s not the answer you wanted, but nothing specific has been decided yet“.

It is not clear what the event will be about, but it is reasonable to expect, among other things, the announcement of the exact release date of Starfield, since we are in the middle of the official release window. The sci-fi RPG, we recall, was supposed to see the light on November 11, 2022 (exactly eleven years after the debut of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim), but it was then postponed to the first half of 2023 to allow developers to refine at best an experience described as one of the most ambitious in recent gaming history. The GOG.com digital store recently indicated June 29, 2023 as the release date of Starfield, but although it is plausible it has not yet been confirmed.
