“Stay with me, please”, was the phrase that the young woman who performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on him said to Fernando Báez Sosa after the attack he suffered at the exit of the “Le Brique” nightclub in the city of Villa Gesell in January 2020 and that this Thursday he reiterated when testifying as a witness, he testified during the fourth hearing of the trial, where he recalled that his attackers “did not stop hitting him for a second.”

This was expressed by the witness Virginia Pérez Antonelli before the Oral Criminal Court 1 of Dolores, who in her statement said that she had performed manual resuscitation maneuvers on Báez Sosa after the beating he received at the exit of the mentioned nightclub in the seaside resort.

In this sense, the young woman said that she asked the police officers present at the scene for help when she saw Fernando “without breathing and without consciousness”, for which she indicated the steps to follow to perform CPR on him.

After that, he said that he held Fernando’s head to prevent spinal injuries while they assisted him on the ground.

In addition, Pérez Antonelli recalled the moment in which Báez Sosa was attacked, described that one of the assailants was “physically a beast” and indicated that “they did not stop hitting him for a second.”

“I heard many shouts of ‘go on, go on’, which were accompanied by blows. At first I did not realize that there was a boy lying down,” he said under the watchful eye of the eight defendants, Máximo Thomsen (23), Enzo Comelli (22), Matías Benicelli (23), Blas Cinalli (21), Ayrton Viollaz (23), and Luciano (21), Ciro (22) and Lucas Pertossi (23).

After finishing her testimony, the young woman hugged the parents of the murdered young man, Graciela Sosa Osorio and Silvino Báez, who were moved by her statement and told her that they will be grateful “all their lives” to her.

Leaving the courtroom, Pérez Antonelli spoke to the press and said that he exchanged glances with the defendants and that one of them made a “little gesture” to him.

In turn, the young woman stated that she felt attacked by the defense lawyer’s questions: “All the time I was grabbing the speech that I had given the day after this. Word for word, to see if everything I was saying was traced to the statement I did. It’s impossible. They even asked me how to do CPR step by step. I thought it was very arrogant, he spoke to me with an attitude that suggested I did things wrong. And I didn’t do things wrong.”

On the other hand, Pérez Antonelli pointed out that he is going to “drag this fact for life” and asked that the eight defendants be sentenced to life.

“This marked all of us. The sentence must be life, it is indisputable. Everyone did something, everyone covered up and accused an innocent person. Each one of us who sat there to testify is the voice of Fernando,” he concluded.
