You are currently viewing Steam Survey – How many games do you have in your library?

It’s crazy how time flies, isn’t it? You hardly know it and already 8 years have passed since the release of Witcher 3, the release of Subnautica was 5 years ago and Portal 2 is over 12 years old. When you hear the news that Steam is turning 20, you don’t feel much older than you already do.

20 years is still quite a number. In one of our surveys you told us that many of you have been registered on Steam for a long time. We are therefore curious and want to know: How many games have you collected since you registered on Steam?

The legendary one »Pile of Shame«

Ah, the sweet temptation of Steam sales. Who can resist her? Almost every month there is some kind of sale on the platform. Sometimes it is individual developers who massively reduce their games, sometimes certain game genres are downgraded. There is always something going on.

It can happen that you suddenly and completely unexpectedly have half a dozen new games in your library. Well so what. But hey, you wanted to try them out anyway. A sale like this is a good idea. They are played. Right next week. Really now!

And so the legendary one grows »Pile of Shame«, the mountain of unplayed games, continues to rise. Valve would be happy to help you with this. One sale follows another, tempting even the most steadfast of us to buy. Not to mention the countless free games that you can easily add to your library.

This means that some of us have not just hundreds, but even thousands of games in our Steam collection. Or do you just buy the titles that you are sure you will play?

Tell us in your comments below the article! How full is your Steam library? Do you try to at least play all the games you buy? Or do you have countless titles that you will never touch? Tell us.
