Authorities are searching for the man who punched actor Steve Buscemi in the face last week.
The uniformed officer says that this man attacked him at random.
This happened while the 66-year-old “Fargo” and “Boardwalk Empire” star was walking down a street in Midtown last Wednesday.
As revealed by Buscemi’s publicist, he was taken to the hospital with bruising, swelling and bleeding in his left eye. He added that the actor is “incredibly sad that this happened to him while he was walking the streets of New York.”
The police department said no arrests had been made and the investigation continues.
Buscemi’s “Boardwalk Empire” co-star Michael Stuhlbarg was hit in the back of the head with a rock while walking through Central Park in Manhattan on March 31. Stuhlbarg pursued his attacker, who was detained outside the park.
