A Portuguese singer Mimicat, who qualified this Tuesday for the final of the 67th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest with the theme ‘Ai Coração’, left a word of thanks to all Portuguese people and confessed to being “anesthetized” with the result tonight.
“I don’t know what I feel anymore. I’m already anesthetized, I don’t even know what I feel anymore”began by referring to the singer, visibly moved, in a video shared on the social networks of the Festival da Canção.
“It’s amazing, it’s wonderful to be able to overcome all the obstacles that we’ve overcome… Our energy on stage was so strong, we’re so united, we’re such a strong group as ‘performers’. I think we did our best on that stage and I think that passed on to people, as it did in Portugal and as it has always passed where we have stepped.”, he added.
Mimicat also made a point of thanking everyone for the “support, strength and positive energy” and to the Portuguese who are outside the country and voted for its action.
In addition to Portugal, Croatia, Moldova, Switzerland, Finland, Czech Republic, Israel, Sweden, Serbia and Norway qualified. Outside were Malta, Latvia, Ireland, Azerbaijan and the Netherlands.
On Thursday, May 11, another ten new finalists will be selected, who will be joined on Saturday by Germany, Spain, France, Italy, United Kingdom and Ukraine.
