The Subway and Premetro Workers Union Association (Agtsyp) announced today that this Wednesday that lines D, E and Premetro will not work between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. the change of polluted fleets.
In addition, there will be opening of the turnstiles at the Congreso de Tucumán and Catedral stations on line D, between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m., while the same modality and schedule will be displayed on the “E” at the Independencia and Plaza de los Virreyes stations.
It is worth mentioning that the metro delegates called a press conference at 12:30 p.m., at the Congreso de Tucumán station, to denounce the “arbitrary salary discounts received” and provide details on “the steps to follow.”
For several consecutive weeks, the workers of the subway and the premetro of the City of Buenos Aires have been carrying out stoppages and opening turnstiles on different lines and stations because, according to their latest statements, the companies Emova and Sbase “are not assisting to hearings and meetings to resolve different labor problems”.
The main request of the employees is to solve “a reduction of the working day” with the purpose of minimizing “the degree of exposure” of the workers to the materials that contain asbestos.
