Announced on the occasion of the Tokyo Game Show 2022 which was held last September, Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars it quickly ended up at the top of the wish list of all Japanese RPG fans and nostalgics.

Confirmed for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC, the remastering collection has unfortunately not yet received a release date, which on the basis of what is reported by the parent company appears to be placed in a generic 2023. While waiting for Konami to decide to spill the beans, a precious clue may have come from FNAC, chain of retailers operating in France and Belgium. In these hours, the Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars shop page has been updated indicating on March 9, 2023 as the launch date. This new evidence pairs with a clue previously provided by SteamDB, which also indicated March as the launch month for the collection.

Everything therefore seems to point to the third month of the year, however in the absence of an official confirmation from Konami we advise you to take this information with a grain of salt. In the meantime, we remind you that the two classic JRPGs of the PlayStation era will be revived with everyone wallpapers remastered in high definition, updated pixel art VFX, new ambient sound effects, a quick save function, fast forward in battle and conversation log. You will know more by reading our preview of Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification.

The work on the collection has also prompted Konami to evaluate the possibility of making new episodes of the Suikoden series.
