Suspect arrested in murder of Hispanic man in Ivanhoe

TULARE COUNTY, California- Tulare County authorities arrested Ismar Ambriz for allegedly killing Hispanic Antonio Tapia Jr. Monday in the town of Ivanhoe.

Tulare County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived as far as Avenue 327 and Road 158 Monday afternoon to investigate a report of a man shot.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and later identified as 34-year-old Antonio Tapia Jr.

The 23-year-old suspect was taken into custody Thursday by sheriff’s deputies and later booked on a murder charge at the county Adult Pretrial Center.
