How to block BBB on social media

Daily on the open air of TV Globo, Big Brother Brasil 23 is one of the main subjects on social networks. And although this avalanche of content can please the most fans of the program, on the other hand, it can annoy those who do not care so much about the events inside the house.

If you are part of the team that prefers to stay away from this flood, all is not lost; you won’t need to put your networks aside for the next few months!

As you can see in the categories below, you can take steps to block or silence content related to the program from your timeline on the main social networks:

How to block the BBB on Twitter

To remove the lock, access the desired profile, tap on the same three dots and select the option to unlock and/or remove silence. How to block BBB on TikTok

Unlike what happens on some social networks, TikTok does not offer a specific content filter. The tool’s keyword filter is limited to comments on the account’s videos and Parental Control does not let you define specific subjects, working automatically.

With that, the only way out is to “teach” the network’s algorithm that you don’t want to consume content related to reality, indicating the videos and themes that are not interesting to you. Check out how to perform this process below:

  • With TikTok open on your device, when you come across a video that you are not interested in, first, tap and hold on the screen for a few seconds;
  • Then tap “Not interested”;
  • Repeat the process for videos related to the program. TikTok will tailor the experience for you.

If you come across a profile dedicated to reality, it might also be interesting to block it. To do so, check out the instructions below.

  • In a video, tap the profile icon located on the right side of the screen;
  • Now, tap on the three dots icon located at the top of the screen and select the option “Block”.

Perform the above steps whenever you feel it necessary. Although it doesn’t have an immediate effect, the frequency with which you indicate the videos you don’t want to watch will define your success. The more you use the feature on the right videos, the faster the network algorithm will learn, “cleaning” your feed.

Once the Big Brother fever is over, if you want to unblock some of the blocked profiles, visit the blocked profile again, click on the three points mentioned above and click on the option “Unlock”.

To check all the profiles blocked by you on the network, access your profile, tap on the three-line icon located at the top of the screen and go to “Privacy & Security” > “Blocked Accounts”. To unlock profiles, tap the option to “Unlock” located next to each of them.

To see program-related content again, use the app’s search to look for related terms. Thus, the algorithm will “learn” your new tastes again and will more often display the desired type of content.
