Sheldon Cooper, painful but endearing hero of The Big Bang Theory
A theoretical physicist, Sheldon is one of the series’ most popular characters. Totally out of step with the world around him, he is an eccentric, compulsive individual who finds himself in situations to die for laughing because of his asociability. Disconcerted at the idea of interacting with others, with the exception of a very closed circle of friends, the scientist seeks to control everything, even if it means entering into a hellish routine. Over the 12 seasons, Sheldon will evolve considerably and fall in love with Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik), doctor of neurobiology, who is a bit like his female equivalent. Deadpan and very first degree, Sheldon is an endearing, fascinating and zany character who contributed to the popularity of the series. His first relationship with Penny (Kaley Cuoco) became cult.
