Dagbladet does like VGTV and bets on celebrity competition TV behind a pay wall. Like “Ikke lov å le på hytta”, the concept “Nødt eller sannhet” was recorded in less than a day, where alcohol is also served.

In the programme, the celebrities play what the bottle spout points to, and can choose whether to answer a question, complete a challenge, or retire.

“Nødt eller sannhet” is led by Hasse Hope, who says that “the aim is to find Norway’s most shameless celebrity”.

The winner is rewarded with NOK 50,000.

Confirms dissatisfaction

The series was recorded in June last year. In August, God kveld Norge became aware that certain participants allegedly wanted to stop production, did not think the premise was clear enough and regretted the completed tasks.

That there has been dissatisfaction among participants is confirmed by program manager in Aller, Tellef Dahll, who thinks it is sad.

The Aller boss tells Good evening Norway that he has not heard anything about the alleged desire to stop production.

Monday Production created and sold the concept to Dagbladet. Dahll says the production company had the dialogue with the participants.

The Monday editor of the program refers to Aller when it comes to questions of dissatisfaction.

– In advance, Monday had research conversations with the participants to find out where the limit was for them, and how wildly we could make it. It is a competition where the participants must withdraw along the way, points out Dahll, and adds that both “safe” and difficult tasks were necessary to reach the finish line of the competition.

Dahll is clear that they have been very concerned that the participants should feel heard during the process, and that Aller has been in direct contact with some.

Nevertheless, he believes that it is natural that some may regret.

– If the participants still feel dissatisfaction, that is sad. We have not received any reports that people are not satisfied with the final product.

– The criticism sounds unfounded

Exactly what should have caused dissatisfaction, says Dahll, that the celebrities must answer for themselves.

– We are satisfied with the process we have had afterwards and think from our side that we have handled this in an orderly manner, he states.

– The participants have been given an overview of the episode and given input. We have taken these into account, says Dahll.

– Was it planned in advance that the participants would be able to watch the episodes, or was it an action you took afterwards?

– It is a completely natural part of the post-work, he replies.

When asked whether much has been deleted at the celebrities’ request, Dahll says that all TV programs must make choices when putting together hours of footage.

Good evening Norway has been in contact with all participants who take part in the series and asked about dissatisfaction, the dialogue with Aller, and what they think about the final result.

We have not received an answer to the questions, but Mia Gundersen has sent the following statement via Aller’s press contact:

“What I consider difficult about the participation was that I did not receive any information in advance about how close it was going to be. The tasks were sometimes humiliating for several of the participants and it felt uncomfortable. If I had known that in advance, I would have had a better basis for assessing whether this concept suited me”, says Gundersen in the statement.

She does not wish to elaborate further on Good evening Norway.

Dahll finds it boring that some people should have felt that the premise was wrong, but clarifies that the concept was sold as it was supposed to be.

He says he thinks it seems strange if someone should feel cheated, considering the conversations before recording.

– The whole premise is that if you don’t want to participate anymore, you withdraw. I think that criticism may sound a bit baseless to me.

Dropped premiere

VGTV profile Marlene Stavrum does not wish to comment. The manager at Maxsocial, Karianne Thorsrud, states that Stavrum is on a longer trip abroad, and will therefore not attend the premiere.

Manager for Vidar Villa and Mia Gundersen, Chris Collins, writes in an e-mail to Good evening Norway that the celebrities will not attend the premiere party on Monday. When asked about the reason for this, Collins made no comment.

Jorun Stiansen and Adam Schjølberg do not want to comment on anything about the production.

Sebastian Solberg and Egil Skurdal have not responded to Good Evening Norway’s repeated inquiries.

None of the aforementioned appeared at the premiere party in Oslo on Monday, when Good Evening Norway was present.

Tellef Dahll says that they got the impression that no one would come forward.

– I think it’s sad that they don’t want to come to the party, and we obviously have to talk together. I have the impression that someone is not happy. We must stand for the contact we have had and think that it is good.

– Crazy

Only two of those who took part in the program were present at the premiere party – Dagbladet’s own Jonas Hammer and presenter Hasse Hope.

Hammer thinks it’s a shame that none of the other participants wanted to come.

– I think that the others are struggling to stand up for what they ended up doing during the recording. Of course, it’s a shame that they’re not here, I was looking forward to seeing them, he says.

Hammer adds that he hopes it’s not him or Hope they’re mad at, and that they can meet as friends at a later date.

Hope says that there was a good atmosphere during the recording, and there was nothing to suggest that there would be a bad atmosphere afterwards.

– There and then there was a great atmosphere – cheering, laughing and clapping. People were very excited about how it would go. The day of admission itself was a dance of roses, a joy.

Good evening Norway pointed out that it is striking that all of the participants do not want to comment or attend the premiere party. Tellef Dahll denies that this is a PR stunt.
