It’s Christmas time, the year is coming to an end and between the holidays one or the other will surely have to work again. The rest is then either digesting the Christmas roast or has a little interest in gambling, among other ways to pass the time until New Year’s Eve. Stefan’s cloud gaming review might fit the picture quite well, this time for the past 51st calendar week.

stages

In the last week we have already described in detail the possibilities of how you can save your saved games and, if necessary, transfer them to other platforms. As a small addition: At Ubisoft, the following games on Stadia are compatible with synchronization via Ubisoft Connect:

  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
  • Far cry 6
  • Immortals Fenyx Rising
  • Tom Clancy’s The Division 2
  • Watch Dogs: Legion

For more information, please read the article from calendar week 50/2022 again. Be sure to check your email inbox. There should have been several, but at least one email from Ubisoft about Stadia. Look there urgently, even if it looks like advertising. A 1-month free key for GeForce Now Priority is hidden in this email. For me, the title of this email was “Stadia will be shut down on January 18, 2023”.

Any Ubisoft games you’ve purchased from Stadia should now also be available via Ubisoft Connect on PC and compatible cloud gaming platforms. It worked wonderfully for me. For example, on GeForce Now you can connect your Ubisoft account and sync the games. In addition, Ubisoft gives you some information to the hand.

It’s also very interesting Point, that we will get the same or a higher quality edition. However, I didn’t notice it with my titles.

That all sounds pretty good. How did things go for you?

Unfortunately, some games will be phased out of Gamepass starting January 1, 2023. The following games were affected:

  • Iron Harvest
  • Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars
  • tropical 6
  • Scarlet Nexus
  • Secret Neighbor
  • Outer Wilds
  • Gorogoa
  • The Pedestrian
  • Embr

These are then no longer available via cloud gaming. We also show you which games rotate from the service every month on our YouTube channel. There are 2 videos for December: Part 1 and Part 2.

GeForce Now

Pretty quiet on GeForce Now. That doesn’t change this week either.

New here:

Monopoly Madness is getting a major update with Dino City.

boosteroid

This week also a big update for Boosteroid. These are the new games:

Excitingly, Boosteroid is currently testing something we already know from Stadia: direct streaming to YouTube from the virtual machine. The whole thing is not yet widely available, but it might look like this:

As always the hint. Please note that these versions are not officially supported by either the developers or the publisher. The service can add virtually any game via some sort of loophole. Technically, Boosteroid rents out a cloud machine onto which the game is installed and then you can play it. Hence the “Install” game collection on the dashboard.

utomy

The catalog of the small provider Utomik is slowly but surely building up. New at the end of the year:

  • corpse party
  • Reverie Knights Tactics
  • night call
  • Star Renegades
  • wolf ride

Nintendo switch

Resident Evil 7 has landed on the Nintendo Switch, even with all DLC content and via cloud gaming. I was able to test the game in advance and am quite enthusiastic about the implementation. Especially on the OLED version, the dark, the horror comes across very well on the small console. Graphically, it’s roughly on par with current consoles, at 60 fps. Good job again.

The demo is free, after that it costs €39.99.

Amazon Luna

Still only US-only, but we hope that it will be released in Germany soon. There are three new games:

  • time on Frog Island
  • Yakuza Kiwami
  • WRC Generations

Three more are out:

  • A Plague Tale: Innocence
  • The Surge
  • Star Wars Pinball

By the way, there are currently 270 games in it Amazon Service.
