"The Geissen family": Carmen intoxicated by cocktails

The Geissens flew to London for a short trip. There, of course, they also talk about the topic that everyone is currently talking about: the British royal family. For Robert it is clear who is to blame for the rift: “The woman from America.” When mixing cocktails, things really get going.

“The Geissens” (new episodes on Mondays, 8:15 p.m., RTLZWEI) are still on vacation in London – what could be more obvious than to think about the British Royals. Between a visit to the bar and a shopping spree, Carmen and Robert are unusually united when it comes to the question: Who is to blame for the rift at the British court?

Carmen in the current RTLZWEI episode of her documentary soap: “I think it’s sad. The Queen will turn around in the coffin.” It’s “crass that someone comes along, breaks all the rules and does their own thing.” Husband Robert, not exactly known for his reticence, drives things Meghan much heavier guns on: “I don’t think it’s good to shake up a whole family that has stuck together for hundreds of years. Now a woman comes from America and thinks she has to clean it up.”

Robert Geiss on Meghan: “She uses fame to make money”

Interesting side aspect: The millionaire is particularly struck by the fact that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for their Netflix documentary and Harry’s book “Spare” are said to have received so much fee – Robert pounces on Meghan again: “She practically uses the fame to make money herself and make it big. I don’t know if that as the fine English way is, that’s why she very probably fled to America.”

Daughter Davina (19) sees things similarly. Only her sister Shania (18) rushes to help Prince Harry and his disgraced wife: “I don’t really know where the problem is with Harry and Meghan. I think he can make and do whatever he wants. He would never have become king anyway.”

Shania Geiss: “Dad, stop it. It’s embarrassing!”

It’s also Shania who guided her family to a very special bar in London: In the very hip place, guests can brew their own cocktails using test tubes and syringes. Robert can’t do anything with it at first and ponders the writing on the wall: “Heisenberg? I only know Gyro Gearloose,” he says.

To explain: Werner Heisenberg was a German physicist who founded quantum mechanics. With increasing alcohol levels, the 58-year-old Robert has more and more fun at the unusual location. He is active with his cell phone as a DJ (Shania: “Dad, stop it. That’s embarrassing!”), and Carmen’s mood is getting better and better.

“The Geissens”: Carmen high from self-mixed cocktails

The two become more exuberant from sip to sip – which embarrasses their daughters: “Mom definitely drank a little too much alcohol. Your English is getting worse and worse“, says Shania. Carmen had previously tried in vain to understand a joke with the English pun “Funghi” = “Fun Guy”. “Why should a mushroom be funny? I don’t understand it.” Robert isn’t any help either: “Carmen, I don’t give a damn whether a mushroom or a sack of rice falls over in China,” he blocks the conversation.

Robert prefers to pull in one of the cocktails with a CBD aroma. “If you drink two of those, you’ll go blind,” he prophesies. And also Carmen has had enough. “My tip: Anyone who hated chemistry at school should come here because: Then you understand it better … or, not really, but you drink it away.”

Well then, Cheers Carmen!
