The Israeli government rescues four hostages in Gaza

The Israeli government claims that four hostages have been rescued after being held for several months in Gaza.

In several videos the hostages are seen at the moment of reunion with their families.

The Israel Defense Forces say the four people were taken hostage at the NOVA Music festival during the Hamas attack on October 7, where more than a thousand people were killed.

Two of those recently released also met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Israel maintains that more than 100 hostages remain in captivity.

During his trip to Paris, President Biden celebrated the safe rescue of these hostages and their return to their family in Israel.

He added that they will continue working until all the hostages return to their homes and stressed the importance of reaching a ceasefire.

Meanwhile,. The Government Media Office in Gaza maintains that at least 200 Palestinians were killed during the Israeli operation to RELEASE those hostages, and hundreds more were injured.

That military operation took place in and around a refugee camp located in central Gaza.

The Gaza Health Ministry reports that more than 36,000 people have died in the region since the war began.
