Expectations are very high for the next series adaptation of The Last of Us from HBOand it is that fans of the popular post-apocalyptic game have been eagerly awaiting the live action series and now, with the launch just a few weeks away, the showrunner craig mazin get candid about how to bring the project to life.
On this, he has nothing but praise for Bella Ramsey, who plays one of the main characters of the series, Ellie. She speaking with SFX Magazin, where she talked about the challenge of choosing the role of Ellie and said that Ramsey is “the most remarkable actor”.
“Ellie took longer because it’s a harder role to cast,” Mazin said. “We’re trying to cast a 14-year-old girl and acting is an incredibly difficult thing to do, right? It’s an awfully easy thing to do. It’s a hard thing to do, okay. But it’s a very, very difficult thing.” do it brilliantly. And children have not had such experience in life. In total, the series will run for nine episodes over the duration of its first season. The exact scope of the series has yet to be determined, though it is said to cover the story of the first game and also borrow parts from the sequel.
