Within the framework of the mega security operation, the Iguazú Infantry Division seized 200 liters, which were transported in a Peugeot in a dangerous manner, by a 46-year-old man from Paraguay. In addition, the troops detected that the vehicle’s fuel tank was modified for a greater storage capacity and that it had fuel leaks, with possible fire risks.
In another procedure that occurred yesterday morning, members of the local Women’s Police Station seized around 300 liters of fuel from a house in the San Martín neighborhood, which were distributed in 15 non-approved drums, which were intended for illegal sale. . The police officers arrived at the home in order to comply with an official letter from the Iguazú Investigating Court, as a result of an event of a family nature where a minor would be injured. It was thus that, in the access, they ran into the number of containers mentioned, destined for illegal activity, for which they requested the presence of the Municipal Bromatology staff.
By order of the Justice, the drums were seized by the aforementioned personnel, who drew up the minutes and verified this situation. In addition, the owner of the property, a 42-year-old woman, was issued an infraction certificate for said illegal activity.
