The Ministers of Public Management, Marcos Corachand Security, Claudio Brilloni, announced this Thursday a significant investment in equipment to combat criminal gangs that operate in Rosario, during the tour they carried out through the new facilities of the Rosario Command and Control Center. This is a project that began to take shape in 2021 and will provide logistics and cutting-edge technology to make a qualitative leap in terms of criminal intelligence.

“We are making an effort, as well as scaling because what we are showing today is what we have up to now, we are still missing. What we were showing about encrypted systems so that phones cannot be hacked, or the issue of body cameras involves a lot of engineering work and we have had some problems and we know that this is the case”, Corach assured, in a press conference held after the visit.

In this sense, he explained that “the main core” of this system has a control command center that works 24 hours a day to monitor patrol cars, answer 911 calls, emergency crisis and also assembling logistical resources in a comprehensive manner, to which are added the 300 body cameras, police officers and 1,600 robust phones with GPS geolocation support, encrypted Push to Talk communications and the ability to transmit the various scenarios to which they are subjected by video call. agents can face.

“It is a robust phone that has an encrypted system and that resists certain types of blows; no one can enter the frequency on which the police speak,” Corach explained regarding the new resources that the provincial force will have to wear on the chin. or helmet, in addition to cameras on motorcycles and patrol cars.

“It is an investment of more than US$ 35 million; the biggest investment is in Rosario”, highlighted Corach regarding the structure that makes up a network of Police Analysis and Operations Centers (COP) located in Rosario, San Lorenzo, Santa Fe, Venado Tuerto, Rafaela and Reconquista, from where surveillance interventions will be monitored and immediate police response. The system also integrates a dozen regional offices from which information on criminal activity will be collected.

In addition to the sector for taking telephone complaints, the structure has a large office and video surveillance room from which the security cameras that the province has installed in different parts of the city are viewed and controlled. From here, the geolocation of police mobiles is also carried out in real time, with location updates every five seconds.
