The Province formalized the launch of the Debt Remedies Program with the publication of Decree No. 2370, which gave the green light to the trust fund created to help reduce debt for women. The initiative It is proposed to promote the economic autonomy of women heads of household in a situation of vulnerability who are in debt and whose cancellation, due to the financial conditions established, severely affects income levels of their respective families.

In that framework, The purpose of the fund will be the direct acquisition of women’s debts with credit provider entities registered with the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA), which will improve financing conditions. The annual nominal rate of the new credit contracted will be 9% and with a maximum repayment period of 60 months.

The recipients will be women with real domicile in the territory of the province of Buenos Aires, holders of debts with non-bank financial entities and non-financial entities. While the debts must have been contracted prior to the launch date of the program.
