It was Duvall’s screaming face that formed half of the film’s most iconic image, along with Jack’s axe coming through the door.
But Duvall disappeared from the movies almost as quickly as she came to them. In the 1990s, she began to retire from acting. Her last film role was in Manna From Heaven 2002. After that, he retired from public life.
