Director Katrin Schmidt ,”Der Denmark-Krimi”, presents a solid crime thriller that looks a bit strained at times, but has many surprising twists and turns in store. So the viewer can really guess who could be behind the murder. Because of course it was a crime. There is also a tangible surprise that affects Simone’s family and turns them completely upside down. Her actress Jasmin Schwiers obviously enjoys being on the go snooping.

Lina Wendel, “Ella Schön”, plays a wonderfully sly detective, whose past as a former Stasi spy still occasionally shines through. She can be very strict and assertive, but also surprisingly sensitive. And she understands it almost masterly how to resist the stupid overtures of Commissioner Eisner – who she doesn’t find so bad at all. Karim Chérif, “A Summer in Brittany”, also plays a no less unusual private detective who also knows all sorts of tricks and is extremely skilled in terms of craftsmanship.

The resolution of the tricky case turns out to be less skilful, which, in addition to the private involvement, also has a revenge campaign and even a kidnapping in store. But be that as it may: The thriller is always exciting and even quite dramatic in the end.

The next case “Game over” can be seen next Thursday (February 2nd, 8:15 p.m.).
