Michel de Notre-Dame is not such a household name, but the legacy of Nostradumus it goes more through the prophecies that he left and that have been fulfilled than through his name. For 2023, he also shared his forecasts.
As you recall the report published on the website of The reasonthe French apothecary wrote the book “Les Prophéties” in 1555, with more than 1,000 prophecies, including the death of John F. Kennedy, the attack on the Twin Towers or the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Wars, famines and droughts
Nostradamus foresees a difficult period, with wars, famines and droughts. Some experts believe that he refers to global inflation: “No abbots, monks, novices to learn. Honey will cost a lot more than candle wax. So high the price of wheat, that man is agitated. His neighbor to eat in his despair”.
In another sentence, he predicts a great war and seems to be referring to the Russian invasion of the Ukraine: “Seven months of great war, people killed by evil. Rouen, Evreux will not fall to the King”.
Some scholars go further: the explosion of an atomic bomb, which will accelerate climate change: “For forty years the rainbow will not appear. For forty years it will be seen every day. Dry land will become drier and great floods will be seen”.
“The lights of Mars will go out”
Nostradamus wrote that there would be a “Heavenly fire when the lights of Mars went out”. This seems to indicate that the race to Mars will fail, curiously with Elon Musk redoubling his efforts to bring humans to the red planet. Let’s hope it doesn’t end in tragedy.
Change of Pope
Finally, by 2023, Nostradamus hoped that the Pope of the day, in this case Pope Francis, would step down and take his place.”a dark and dangerous character” which could cause a “religious war” that would affect the entire world.
The report recalls that, a few weeks ago, Francisco wrote a letter of resignation in case he suffered some kind of health problem or disability.
