PARS.- The dresses of the stars at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, Clinton Dion, Lady Gaga and Aya Nakamuraare on display in Paris at the Dior Gallery until September 30, a spokeswoman for the fashion house told AFP on Thursday.
To interpret the Hymn to love Following the performance of Dith Piaf from the first floor of the Eiffel Tower – her first performance in four years – Cline Dion wore a white silk georgette dress with a high neck, long sleeves, fringes and a train, covered in sequins and fine pearls.
Changing rooms
Other notable artists at the ceremony also wore outfits designed by the prestigious French fashion house, a brand of LVMH, a “premium” partner of the Olympic Games.
Aya Nakamura, wearing a gold feathered mini dress with an asymmetrical neckline and enhanced with two layers of silk at the back, performed a medley of her songs and compositions by Charles Aznavour.
American Lady Gaga, for her part, My feather thingthe emblematic title of French music hall, dressed in a black satin corset, over which she wore a short jacket and a long skirt of black and pink feathers, with a feather headdress.
Also on display at the Dior Gallery is the eight-metre-long draped dress in the colours of the French flag – blue, white and red – worn by opera singer Axelle Saint-Cirel, who sang the national anthem, Marseillaise.
