Juarez City.– The 1st Binational Meeting for the Chihuahuan Desert takes place this morning at the Chamizal Museum of Archeology and History (MAHCH), organized by the Sierra de Jáurez collective.

Raymundo Aguilar, a member of the collective, mentioned that the event is held to commemorate World Earth Day, which was on April 22.

He said that with these activities they want the community to know the importance of the desert and the Sierra de Juárez in the region.

Science clubs from the city of El Paso and a group of rescuers will participate in the binational meeting that will give presentations on first aid in the mountains, Aguilar said.

The activities began at 10:00 in the morning and will end at 1:00 in the afternoon.
