MEXICO CITY (apro).- Users of social networks reported failures in the WhatsApp messaging service.
According to the Downdetector portal, the application owned by Meta, the problems began to register around two in the afternoon.
As of 2:30 a.m., the most frequent problem reported was the connection to the server, with 63 percent of complaints.
34 percent reported failures in the application and 3 percent at the time of login.
The drop was also reported by users in the United States and other countries, according to Downdetector.com.
“We are working quickly to resolve the connectivity issues with WhatsApp and will update you here as soon as possible,” .WhatsApp reported at 2:44 a.m.
The reports came mainly from Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey and other areas in the center of the country.
On Twitter, users reported the downfall of the service.

At 3 in the afternoon, WhatsApp reported the restoration of the service.
