Chihuahua.- The Ministry of Tourism will carry out a tourism planning study with the purpose of detonating the Abraham González Dam ecotourism park, located in Ciudad Guerrero, and identifying areas with potential in this Manzanera region.

To do this, representatives of the Directorate of Tourism Planning and the National Fund for Tourism Promotion (Fonatur), toured the municipality to identify areas with tourism potential.

Of the 67 municipalities in the state, 50 have a tourist vocation, so the Ministry of Tourism, headed by Edibray Gómez Gallegos, visits all of them to find new areas that can attract visitors and, in turn, redirect existing ones so that reach their greatest potential.

During the visit to Guerrero, a meeting was held with municipal authorities and tourism businessmen from the region, as well as a tour of the dam facilities, a visit to the Masara apple packing plant, the mural of the San Isidro Revolution and the Parador El Prado, as well as hotels and cabins, among other places of a tourist nature.

The actions in the near future are the signing of a collaboration agreement, technical visits, inter-institutional work tables, identification of problems and needs, participatory planning workshops, strategic lines of action, identification and design of trigger projects and design of routes and tourist corridors.
