14 people have been detained on suspicion of serious crimes in three raids in the last week alone. During Wednesday reports Eskilstuna-Kuriren that the eight people in Årby who were arrested on suspicion of serious drug offenses on Monday have now been released, but that the suspicions remain against all of them.

Eskilstuna has been shaken by two murders in a short time. One at Rekarnegymnasiet on April 6 when an 18-year-old was shot to death and on April 17 in Fröslunda when a 25-year-old man was found shot with several shots. No one is in custody suspected of the murders.

“Should be hard”

On the other hand, thanks to the other arrests, the police have succeeded in disrupting the criminals’ activities, says Robert Åkerström.

– It must be hard to be a criminal in Eskilstuna, he says.
