For Ivica Mijajlovic, writing has been his passion since childhood.
At 17 he took part in a poetry slam for the first time, which he immediately won. He has been touring slam stages throughout the German-speaking world for over 10 years now. In the first years as a hobby, his art became more and more professional. With over 80 performances a year, he is a sought-after poet, and his greatest successes include winning the Vorarlberg State Championships in 2018 and 2019.

In addition, he was nominated three times for the Austrian and German-language championships. In 2014 he published his first book “Herzchenkotzweltscheiße”. His texts have appeared in the slam anthologies Mid Youth Crisis (2017) and Textsorbet (2018). In April 2020 he published his second book “Kaos”. Ivica has been chairman of Ländle Slam since autumn 2021, the association has set itself the task of making poetry slam even more socially acceptable in Vorarlberg. In 2022, Ländle Slam hosted the Austrian poetry slam championship in Vorarlberg. At Vorarlberg-Live he presented a thoughtful but also amusing text suitable for the Christmas season.
