Since they locked us up, we try to live together, to get along more, to show people a little bit that we can get along, even though we’re not always together. We wanted to show a bit of what we do, how we are, what are the dreams of my children, of me as a mother, of my husband, and people really liked that too much”, Mrs. Susana tells Trome.

According to the popular ‘tiktoker’, its platform began as a page of adoption of abandoned animals and soon her followers became curious about the rescuers, her and her children.

“We always picked up animals from the street and brought them home. So we start, showing that content. Where we live there is a corner where animals are thrown away, we wanted to show how we collected them trying to make people aware that they should not do that because the animals only had us. We picked them up sick, badly, here at home we had them and then we gave them up for adoption. When our videos start to go viral, people were always asking who were the people behind itbecause we did not show ourselves, my voice came out and the animals, and that is where we decided: we are going to make ourselves known and now show what we do apart from helping animals and there we involve the whole family”, he adds.

Although not everything has been rosy on the platform, Susana Espinoza decided to stay current after trying to delete her account twice due to attacks from her detractors. SHowever, she acknowledges that the app has helped her stand out in many ways, and she is very grateful for it.

“TikTok changed my life, it changed our lives a lot. We continue to live in the same place, but it did change us a lot because really, many people identify with us because we are people who get ahead day by day, we do not have any savings, we are not wealthy people, we struggle to get ahead every day like many people here in Peru and really entering this platform has helped us a lot, a lot, in one way or another. I feel very grateful to the public, to the people who really appreciate us.” points out.
