The German football community is growing! Not only since November 13, 2022, when the US professional American football league “National Football League” (NFL) was a guest for its first game in Munich’s Olympic Stadium, it has been clear: the former niche sport inspires the Germans. That’s why CinemaxX is bringing the NFL to its cinema screens for its continuously growing fan base: at a total of ten locations – Berlin, Bielefeld, Bremen, Essen, Freiburg, HH-Dammtor, Hanover, Munich, Sindelfingen, Stuttgart-LH – the cinema operator will be showing from April 14 to January 29th 6 playoff games and with the Super Bowl on February 12th the big NFL season finale. Sophisticated image and sound technology, the oversized screens of the CinemaxX houses, their service and comfort as well as Coca-Cola, popcorn and a special menu with beer and nachos ensure a unique stadium feeling in the cinema. The ProSieben transmissions of the Seven.One Entertainment Group will be shown. There are tickets on-line in advance: Both for each individual game and in the Football CxX Pass for all seven broadcasts.
In 2022, the NFL Superbowl achieved a quota record for the fourth time with a 60.9% market share among 14-49 year olds. Tendency: rising.* The German football community is growing, enthusiasm is increasing. So it’s not just surprising that the NFL has identified Germany as the number one growth market.** But also that the well-known cinema operator brings football fans their sport onto the screen and thus beyond the living room into the cinemas.
CinemaxX goes NFL: The “playing fields” and “rules”
With Berlin, Bielefeld, Bremen, Essen, Freiburg, HH-Dammtor, Hanover, Munich, Sindelfingen and Stuttgart-LH, CinemaxX is showing a total of seven NFL games: on Saturdays or Sundays, six playoff games and with the Superbowl, on Sunday, February 12, the grand finale. The regular ticket price per game is 10.00 euros, for students and pupils 9.00 euros. All seven games are available in the Football CxX Pass for 35.00 euros. The “cinematic” sports experience is “underpinned” by a gastronomic special offer where visitors to the NFL games save up to 20 percent: Two 0.5L beers are included, e.g. B. Bitburger, Bitburger alcohol-free, as well as a large portion of nachos; including a coupon for a 0.5L beer at a discounted price for a second purchase.
