The stage of presenting evidence of the trial of the eight accused of beating to death Fernando Baez Sosa will close this Wednesday and will coincide with the third anniversary of the crime of the law student at the exit of a bowling alley in the seaside resort of Villa Gesell. This first stage will end with the testimonies of two forensic doctors and the possibility that a defendant chooses to give a statement, as three of them have already done.
Judicial sources indicated that there are only two remaining witnesses, the doctors Juan Jose Fenoglio Y Jorge Rodolfo Velich who are experts on behalf of the defense in charge of Hugo Tomei, testify before the Oral Criminal Court (TOC) 1 of Dolores since the rest of those who were initially scheduled were rescheduled for the previous hearings or withdrawn by the parties.
Tomei visited the eight defendants in Penal Unit 6 in Dolores: “What we are talking about is part of professional secrecy and is confidential. Tomorrow the hearings will continue. We will not be watching,” the lawyer told the press upon leaving jail after being gathered for almost three hours.
Sources close to the defense indicated that the testimonies of Fenoglio and Velich will point to alleged inconsistencies in the work of the doctor Diego Duarte, who performed the autopsy on Fernando after the crime, at the Pinamar Hospital.
Beyond those witnesses who have already been agreed, attention will also be focused on the possibility that a defendant chooses to testify before the judges. María Claudia Castro, Emiliano Lazzari and Christian Rabaia, after they testified Luciano Pertosi (21) first to break the silence last Thursday; maximum thomsen (23) who did it last Monday, and Cyrus Pertossi (22) who did it today.

The eight accused for the murder of Fernandoo Báez Sosa after a beating on January 18 are Thomsen, Ciro, Luciano and Lucas Pertossi (23), Enzo Comelli (22), Matías Benicelli (23), Blas Cinalli (21) and Ayrton Violaz (23).
During the evidence presentation stage, the first to testify were Savino Báez and Graciela Sosa. One of the sections of the victim’s mother’s statement was: “They called him black. And it wasn’t like that, he was my prince. By what right did they take Fernando’s life? I would like to go back in time to get my son back. Do you know how painful it is to go to the cemetery, touch Fer’s photo and talk to him and he doesn’t respond… Wanting to get him out of there. He was my everything. How can a human being discriminate against a boy of the same age? Every day I keep waiting for him, they say he won’t come back.
In the presentation of the evidence, chilling chats and audios were also known where the defendants spoke among themselves and with acquaintances. Another number of witnesses testified, including police officers, Pablo Ventura, who was identified by the defendants as the perpetrator of the act, and his father, workers at the Le Brique bowling alley, friends of Fernando who were vacationing with him on January 18, 2020. and the young woman who performed CPR on him. So did the mothers and fathers of six of the eight defendants for the crime of Fernando Báez Sosa. Silvino Báez and Graciela Sosa were not present during the statements of the parents of the accused.
The defense of Fernando’s parents, headed by Fernando Burlando and Fabián Améndola, anticipated that they will ask for “life” for the 8 defendants for the young lawyer’s crime.
