Two girls are injured after a shooting in a park

Police are searching for the gunmen who opened fire in a park in the Brownsville area of ​​Brooklyn, hitting two girls who were playing at the time.

According to authorities, around 9:00 pm on Monday they received an emergency call after a nine-year-old girl and another 11-year-old girl were injured in an exchange of fire.

The youngest of nine was shot in her right leg and the other minor in her back, both of whom are in stable condition and under medical treatment.

The investigation indicates that there were at least 6 shots, casings of different calibers were found, which indicates that it could be two gunmen who fired in the direction where the girls were.

However, there is no indication that the bullets were aimed at them.

At the moment, it is unknown if the girls have any relationship and the police indicate that the mother of the 11-year-old was sitting on a bench near the little girls.
