The Minister Delegate in charge of Public Accounts reacted on Tuesday evening on BFMTV to the controversy created by the holding of a demonstration by ultra-right activists on Saturday in Paris. He pleaded for the dissolution of certain small groups and highlighted their “proximity” to the National Rally.

Under pressure from deputies during Questions to the Government, Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin also deemed this demonstration “unacceptable” which had not been banned by the Paris police prefect.
He said he had asked the prefects to ban all ultra-right demonstrations in the future. While specifying that it would be up to the courts to determine whether the case law allowed these demonstrations to be held. A statement shared by Gabriel Attal, who even asked to go further by accelerating the dissolution of small groups.
“I think there is a lever: the dissolution of these far-right groups when we have enough elements that allow us to do so,” said the minister.
And to add: “There is a form of claiming public space that deeply shocks me.”
The “proximity” with the RN
Asked about the controversy, Marine Le Pen, the patron saint of the deputies of the National Rally, defended herself earlier this Tuesday to be “close” to these people.
“They are not my relatives. All the people who, at one time or another in their existence and in the 50 years of the existence of the National Front, have had a responsibility as accountants or even elected officials, are not part of of my loved ones,” she replied.
However, two former lieutenants of the National Rally were present in the procession, Axel Loustau and Olivier Duguet, according to information from Mediapart.
Gabriel Attal then called for “a form of consistency” from the former far-right presidential candidate.
“We know that there is a proximity between a certain number of these small groups and the RN, or FN, for a very long time now, he assured. Often, the two converge: relatives of one with the other and vice versa.
