“When I came to Berlin more than eight years ago, the clear goal was to eventually get promoted to the Bundesliga with Union and I was convinced that I would experience something big with Union.”according to Trimmel, “The last few years have been incredibly emotional and formative for the club, but also for me personally. I am very happy that I can continue to experience and help shape everything.”

Trimmel has already played 286 competitive games for Union. He scored six goals and 58 assists. The 35-year-old is also in the right-back position this season.
