Venezuelan opposition leader challenges the CNE and demands the publication of minutes

CARACAS.- Venezuelan opposition leader Alfonso Marquina posted on social media this Tuesday, July 30, a series of records that his team has collected after the elections last Sunday, July 28. In addition, he demanded that the National Electoral Council (CNE) show the official tally records to confirm the election results.

In this regard, Marquina stressed that the records he has corroborate Edmundo González’s victory. “The National Electoral Council should present to the country and the world the tally sheets of the machines used on July 28,” said Marquina.

In the audiovisual material, the opposition leader exemplified with a specific document how the veracity of the document and the election results should be validated: “The document also includes the signatures of the president, the secretary member A, witness A, witness B, and the operator, as well as the judge code that guarantees the authenticity of the document,” he added.

Marquina urgently called on the CNE to publish the minutes in which, according to the regime, Maduro would have won. “The truth is the truth and we must fight for it,” Marquina concluded.

Marquina’s claim highlights the growing demand for transparency in the electoral process and raises questions about the veracity of the results. Public and political pressure continues to mount as an official response from the CNE is awaited.
