Venezuelans protest in Miami over inability to vote in presidential elections

FLORIDA.- The streets of Miami are filled with excitement and hope as Venezuelans in exile and their supporters celebrate the elections in Venezuela. Amid tricolor flags and patriotic chants, the Venezuelan community shows its longing for significant change in their home country.

Venezuelans in Miami are also calling for action to ensure that the elections in the Caribbean country are conducted in a fair and transparent manner.

Oscar Puig, Vice Mayor of Doral and of Venezuelan origin, He stressed the importance of this event: “This is a demonstration of what every Venezuelan wants, a free Venezuela for all, which Venezuelans can enjoy, but above all, that they have the right to live as they deserve, with honesty, with dignity, that Venezuelans continue to build a beautiful country for all.”

Puig emphasized that “the brave people will always sing, no matter what situation they are in, and the brave people are the ones who will demonstrate today what we all hope for, a free Venezuela.”

The Former State Senator Annette Taddeo, who has shown constant support for the Venezuelan cause, expressed his enthusiasm for the active participation of the community. “Very enthusiastic, people are ready for freedom in Venezuela, and here we are supporting. They even gave me a flag, because I have been here with the Venezuelan people, everyone is fighting to see a day like today.”

Taddeo also sent a direct message to the military and the Venezuelan people: “What I want is to send the message to the military and the people of Venezuela, that they should not go home, like when (Henrique) Capriles won, and the people went home. We need them not to let themselves be robbed in this election, and that the military also have mothers, they also have starving women, they also have relatives outside the country. It is important that the military represent this people who fight so hard for freedom and that they do not represent the regime.”
