Yorckbrücke No. 5 is one of the most bizarre, long-running topics in the district. For years, only the brick substructure at the level of Bautzener Straße on both sides of Yorckstraße has been standing. But this year it should finally be completed and used for the first time. The commissioning of the “pedestrian bridge Yorckbrücke No. 5”, as the bridge is officially called, is planned for June. This was announced by the spokesman for the Senate Department for the Environment, Mobility and Transport, Jan Thomsen, at the request of the Tagesspiegel. Then it should finally be able to be used by pedestrians and cyclists as a connection as part of the north-south green corridor to the Park am Gleisdreieck.
