Blinken emphasizes to Israel “the urgent need” to protect civilians and humanitarian workers in Gaza
The Secretary of the US Department of State, Antony Blinkenhe stressed this Sunday before the Israeli Minister of Defense, Yoav Gallant, “the urgent need” of protect civilians and humanitarian workers in Gaza.

The head of American diplomacy has taken advantage of the call to “affirm Washington’s ironclad commitment” with the security of Israel and “the shared goal of defeating Hamas”while he has highlighted the “American opposition to one orlarge-scale ground operation in Rafá”where 1.4 million people take refuge.
Hours earlier, the White House National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivanhas discussed with his Israeli counterpart, Tzachi Hanegbi,“alternative actions” to the operation on a large scale in the city of Rafah, in the south of the Gaza Strip, “to ensure the defeat” of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas)” in “the entire” enclave.
