While C8 will broadcast the film Walk in the shade with Gérard Lanvin and Michel Blanc, W9 opted for another French comedy. From 9:10 p.m., viewers will have the opportunity to (re)discover welcome aboarda film by Eric Lavaine featuring Valérie Lemercier in the skin of Isabelle, an HRD of a shipping company who decides to take revenge on Jérôme Berthelot, her director and lover, who broke up with her and fired her the same day. For this, she decides to recruit the worst candidate she had received, Rémy Pasquier (Franck Dubosc), a long-time unemployed person, for the position of animator. Without embarrassment, the latter is quickly noticed on the boat and attracts the wrath of Jérôme Berthelot and Richard Morena (Gérard Darmon), the cruise director whose team he is supposed to join.

This little nod to Camping which does not go unnoticed

Whether welcome aboard parodies some scenes from titanic by James Cameron, the film also refers to other feature films in which Franck Dubosc has played, in particular the comedy Camping. During the movie, the actor wore a light blue shirt, identical to that worn by his character Patrick Chirac in the comedy which revealed him to the cinema. After making himself known on television, it was in 2006 that Franck Dubosc made his dream of the big screen come true by obtaining the leading role of Camping. A comedy that has become cult and which gave birth to two sequels: Campsite 2 (2010) and Campsite 3 (2016).

Franck Dubosc: his discreet idyll with another film star

The paths of Valérie Lemercier and Franck Dubosc crossed on the set of the comedy welcome aboard. But you should know that the two actors knew each other well before the glory. Indeed, they met at the Rouen Conservatory and even had a little youthful romance, as they had confirmed during the promotion of the film. “We went out together at the time. We frolicked, we rolled galoshes!”, had explained the actor on Europe 1. And to add: “We said it well: if we had not talked about it for 30 years, it was not out of shame, but out of modesty”. Since then, the two movie stars have come a long way in their intimate lives. Valérie Lemercier is in a relationship with a man whose identity she has never revealed, while Franck Dubosc is married to Danièle, the mother of her two children Raphaël and Milhan.
