Ole Werner will probably not stay in the Bundesliga forever. As Werder Bremen’s head coach revealed to the ‘Bild’ newspaper, he would like to coach a foreign club one day. “Of course there is something I would like to experience. I would like to work abroad one day and see if my coaching work works in a different language and culture.”

Werner couldn’t say exactly where he wanted to go, but narrowed it down: “It would be difficult outside of the English-speaking area as things currently stand.” However, he learned “that in life it is best to concentrate on the here and now”, said the 34-year-old. Last season he led the Weserklub to direct promotion back to the Bundesliga, where they are currently in ninth place after 15 match days.
