Game of Thrones has just left the OCS catalog. How to review the famous HBO series in France online now?
HBO content has not been available on OCS’s French SVOD service since January 1, 2023. No less than 64 series have therefore left the French platform’s catalog. Cult works have paid the price, such as Sex and the City, Chernobyl, Big Little Lies, True Detective. And the flagship series carried by OCS in France is concerned: Game Of Thrones is no longer available.
Where to watch Game of Thrones in France?
You are not done discovering Game Of Thrones or were you watching the series again? It’s too late to continue your marathon. This HBO series is no longer available in SVOD (video on demand by subscription) in France. No other service has the rights at this time.
There remain, however, some possibilities to still taste the integrality of Game Of Thrones. You can, of course, acquire Blu-Ray box sets ; in HD-DVDs ; even in 4K Ultra HD. But what about legal streaming?

Will Game of Thrones be available to stream again in 2023?
Whether Game Of Thrones left the catalog of OCS, as well as the 64 other series, it is because of the expiration of the contract linking the French SVOD service with HBO. In question: the project to launch HBO Max in France, which was scheduled around 2023.
Except that it is no longer a question. Warner Bros. Discovery seems to want to kill the HBO Max service, in particular for economic reasons. In fact, the launch in France seems simply canceled. However, according to our information, the existence of an SVOD platform still seems to be envisaged by the group in France – but perhaps not in this form, or under this name.
The rights of HBO series for their broadcast in France remain, for the time being, unclear. The information is only at the rumor stage, but it seems that Amazon Prime Video is on the way to positioning itself in France. There is also Paramount+ in the panorama, which already owns the rights to certain HBO series in France (Station Eleven). Finally, Canal+ could also recover content, through Warner TV, which is available in some of its subscriptions.
In summary: we do not yet know where it will be possible to watch again Game Of Thronesin legal streaming, in France. The same goes for new HBO series: no broadcaster has been announced for The Last of Uswith the exception of a recent mysterious tweet from Warner Bros France.
