Why are La Promesa and La Moderna not being broadcast on TVE today and when will they come back?

The opening ceremony of the The Paris Olympic Games will kick off sixteen days of sporting competitions that can be seen almost in their entirety on Spanish Television. The Corporation’s deployment will take the form of 400 hours of broadcasts of sports in which national athletes have the most chances of winning medals.

Therefore, as already happened during the European Championship in Germany, which ended with the undisputed triumph of the Spanish national team, the original programming of La 1 will undergo modifications. If during the maximum continental competition at the national team level the main victim was the Grand Prix, now it will be the two main series of the house that will be harmed.

For this reason, starting this Friday, La Moderna and La Promesa will take a break from their daily run of episodes to make room for multi-sport activities. They will return with more exciting stories that will continue to keep the audience in suspense. And the most faithful can watch all the previous episodes again on RTVE Play, the public entity has indicated.

The return of both fictions is scheduled for next August 12, just the day after the end of the Olympic Games. In principle, they will be the only formats that will see their broadcast paused, since others, such as Telediario will be adapted to its schedule, also making use of the rest of the in-house channels.
