MIAMI.- Will Smith has slowly regained its place in the entertainment scene, after the controversial slap that it gave to the comedian Chris Rock on the stage of the scar awards in 2022 would keep him away from the industry for a while.
Now, the star of the iconic series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air not only breaks into movie theaters with the film Bad Boys: Ride or Die; also regains its space in music with the release of the single You Can Make It.
The piece was premiered during the ceremony of the BET Awards 2024an award that recognizes the career of celebrities of African-American origin, as well as other ethnic minorities, who stand out in the music, entertainment and sports arenas.

The winner of the Oscar for best actor for his role in King Richardwho was expelled from the Academy for 10 years, surprised the stage of the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles when he appeared in the centre of a circle of fire, accompanied by Fridayy and the Sunday Service gospel choir.
“I don’t know who needs this right now. But I’m here to tell you that you can do it,” the rapper said before beginning the performance.
The song is a reflection on redemption, his journey through a difficult chapter in his life in which he felt lost, and how music was an indispensable tool to cope with dark moments.
Kirk Franklin later joined Smith to rap together.
“Nobody has an easy journey. There’s wisdom in that fire. It dances through your darkest moments,” Will added.
Prior to his performance, the actor had posted a video on social media in which he showed a writing that revealed how music had saved him.
“In some of my darkest times, music has always been there for me, to lift me up and help me grow. It is my humble wish that it can do the same for you and bring you all the joy and light you deserve.
