Microsoft has released a new build for Windows 10, 19045.2908 (KB5025297), to Insiders on the Release Preview Channel. This new version contains some new features but also focuses on bug fixes and improvements.

Microsoft originally posted the wrong build number in your announcement tweet and blog post, and later updated it to the correct build number.

New features include the ability to sync language and region settings when users change the display language or regional format of their Microsoft account; changing firewall settings; resumes Windows 10 taskbar search box experience.

It is also worth mentioning that this update affects the Islamic Republic of Iran, as it supports the government’s DST change order from 2022.

In facilities, the build addresses issues that send unexpected password expiration warnings to users; affect the LSASS (Local Security Authority Subsystem Service) process that makes the machine restart; affects Microsoft Edge IE mode so that pop-up windows open in the background instead of foreground and causes the Tab Window Manager to become unresponsive.

Other solutions include those related to protected content being viewed, provisioning packages, mobile device management (MDM), Windows Defender app control, Xbox Adaptive Controller, and using a PIN to sign in to Windows Hello for Business.

Other bug fixes concern Microsoft Edge WebView2, Active Directory, Unified Write Filter (UWF), Resilient File System (ReFS), MySQL and SMB Direct.
