Is Windows 11 better than Windows 10 as Microsoft claims? Different benchmarks attempt to answer this question!
Windows 11 has been available for several months but not everyone has fallen for it yet. This operating system promises better performance than Windows 10 according to Microsoft. At the Architecture Day 2021 event, Intel shared its Alder Lake processor architecture design. The company said Windows 11 is optimized to make the most of the Performance Hybrid architecture and Thread Director technology that makes Windows 11 task scheduling easier. But is that true?

Windows 11 and Windows 10 face off in a duel at the top
Microsoft says Windows 11 was engineered to get the most out of hardware. An assertion not necessarily true at the launch of the operating system but which gradually begins to verify itself. For some workloads, it’s as good as Windows 10!
PCWorld tested a Core i9-13900K Raptor Lake-S on Windows 11 22H2 to compare it to Windows 10 22H2. Note that Raptor Lake succeeds Alder Lake, both are built on the same hybrid performance architecture.
If Windows 11 wins many times, Windows 10 also wins in several domains.
Here is the test result for photo and video editing (data provided by PugetBench and Procyon)
Then come the Cinebench and Nero Score scores which test CPU, AI photo tagging, and AVC (H.264) codec performance. Without forgetting Handbrake which tests the conversion or transcoding of video codecs.
Next are the Chrome 107 tests, the results of Procyon’s Office benchmark, and Bapco’s Crossmark Enterprise test.
To finish, in-game results are similar between Windows 10 and Windows 11 apart from CS: GO.
What conclusion can be drawn from these tests? Is Windows 11 below Windows 10 in performance? Yes, but not always! Finally, the score differences remain very slim. However, the operating system is not above its predecessor as Microsoft claims!
