VfL Wolfsburg wants to reintegrate loan player Tim Siersleben next season. “Tim will be coming back to us in the summer. He has developed extremely well in Heidenheim”, says sports director Marcel Schäfer in the ‘kicker’. Siersleben has been playing for the second division since summer 2021. Since then, the 22-year-old central defender has made 28 competitive appearances for Heidenheim and is a regular this season.

“The first year was certainly instructive for him. Now he has taken the next step”, Schaefer continues. The Wolves manager is satisfied with the development of the 1.87 meter tall left foot: “It’s a successful loan, the way we want it to be.” Siersleben still has a contract in Wolfsburg until 2024. In the Autostadt, the homegrown player should in future become an alternative to regular Micky van de Ven (21), who is currently the only left-footed player in the center of defence.
